The story of how we came to run these events
In September 2020 Karin had a nice round Birthday. The thing she craved the most was to go on a day retreat and to spend time doing the things she loves the most. Have time with like-minded people, Meditate, connect with Crystals, Essences and have a laugh.
Due to the effects of the lockdown she was unable to find any retreat, let alone one offering what she was looking for.
Then she had an idea! 'If I cannot find what I am looking for then I create it!'
So, we hired a hall, invited a handful of close friends and organised some gentle exercise, fun games, Crystal Meditations and Oracle Card readings. The day turned into the prefect Birthday Re-treat.
Here is what Karin shared about the day:
'Karin's Birthday Re-treat Experience
Outside the venue it was a miserable day. The weather was grubby and the outside world looked and felt uninviting.
Stepping into the inner space of our venue was like entering a different dimension. I was greeted with smiling eyes and a Heart warming center piece.
The atmosphere was uplifting and welcoming!
A small group of us enjoyed a day filled with games, meditations, Crystals, Essences and fabulous company.
Within minutes we were laughing so hard that we had to hold our bellies.
All aspects of our Beings were coming back into balance through Crystals, Essences, Meditations and sharing experiences.
It was very easy to forget all the worries and woes of the outside world.
The day has left an ongoing positive effect on us and created lasting, loving memories of the time we shared together.'

Why are there 3 facilitators?
Ever since Marcus and Karin found each other they have run a workshop in Spring to mark the Equinox. Before Joshua was born they would always facilitate these events together.
Once Joshua arrived Karin was busy looking after him and Marcus started running these workshops by himself.
In March 2020 we were finally ready to start running these workshops together again. Joshua was old enough to be left with a 'boy sitter' (we have no family near to help us out), the day was fully booked and we were really looking forward to facilitating again.
Sadly due to the looming lockdown our childcare cancelled the day before we were due to run the event!
Anyone who has ever organised an event can empathise how stressful this is. We had put too much time, effort and resources into organising the day. In addition we did not wish to disappoint a full house of participants the day before running.
Some quick thinking and frantic discussions led us to asking Wendy, our trusted student and co-worker if she would be able to help out. She had been signed up as a participant but the amazing and wonderful person she is she agreed to help us out with both, helping to look after Joshua and facilitating!
Needless to say, the day went smoothly and the energy in the room was amazing!
This day made Marcus and Karin vow never to rely on childminding for an event ever again. So now we split our events into three sections, leaving our participants in the very capable hands of Wendy whilst one of us goes home to take over the shift of looking after Joshua.
