March Crystal Curiosity:
A spiky little hedgehog, sitting in the sunshine, bursting forth with child-like joy in all directions.
Wonder what I am?
This spiky little hedgehog is Yellow Calcite. For me all the Calcite Crystals are connected to being child-like. They also play an important part in bringing out and healing our inner child, soothing any traumas we may have accumulated during that time.
Yellow Calcite specifically forms a healing connection between our mind and emotions.
February Crystal Challenge answer: Grape Agate
The lovely looking Crystal shown in the image is commonly known as Grape Agate. However, its scientifically correct name ought to be Botroidal Amethyst.
A bit of a mouth full so it’s understandable that Crystal sellers gave it the much more appealing name of Grape Agate.
It’s rather expensive but Grape Agate’s energy promises to activate your Brow and Crown Chakras helping you to access your intuitive and psychic energies more readily.
It also helps you to access your inner worlds more easily
Ant Hill Garnet
Have you ever heard of Ant Hill Garnet?
They are tiny pieces of Garnet that are 'mined' by ants whilst they are constructing their anthills.
The tiny gems are discarded by the hard-working insects and can be found around their anthills. Needless to say Ant Hill Garnet is rather expensive!
